William Morris Gallery Collection Sage Blackthorn Smooth Wallpaper
Catalogue previewOnline ordering is coming soon. You can explore product details and specifications while we prepare the store.
Designed in 1892, Blackthorn was originally block-printed and features white blackthorn (or sloe) blossom and violets with meadow flowers of red snakes head fritillaries and yellow daisies. The flowers bloom from a lattice of curling foliage, leaves, and stems in this iconic Morris pattern. Typical of Morris’ work, Blackthorn is a celebration of the beauty of nature. Blackthorn Sage is a softer take on Morris' classical design, with shades of pastel yellows, pinks and light grey-whites, all brought out by a sage background. This matt finish wallpaper would make any house feel like a home.
